Shape is an ongoing photography series that rethinks the nuanced codependency between humans and their pets. Chen have long been fascinated by the way humans and animals live under the same roof. While we care for our pets' physical needs, they, in turn, play a profound role in our own well-being. In this project, I invited friends and their beloved animals to explore the power dynamics that emerge between ""owners"" and ""pets."" Showing the naked bodies of the participants-- both animal and human--as parallels, Chen raises the question: who is the owner and who is the pet?
