is a Chinese lens-based artist living in New York City.​​​​​​​

They work mainly with celluloid films to bring back the tangibility of story-telling and forgotten ways of expression. While navigating landscapes, bodies, identities, and the movements thereof, Chen's ultimate wish is to expand people's emotional capacity and the depth of human experience through their work as a way of protest in a time of digitalization, mass media, and political changes.

Like Chen themselves, their images and words travel the world through festivals, basement gatherings, letters, and chance.
